According to the reports, Tehran Prosecutor Ali Alqasimehr on Monday issued an arrest warrant against the U.S President Donald Trump and 30 others who they believe is responsible for the drone strike that killed Iranian General Qassem Soleimani in Baghdad.
Trump and the 30 others whom Iran accuses for involvement in the strike that took place on 3rd January faces “murder and terrorism charges”, the semi official ISNA news official reported.
Iran has also sought for help from Interpol for detaining the U.S President as well as the others whom they believe should be held accountable for the death of General Qassem Soleimani. It is unlikely that Interpol would grant Iran’s request for its guidelines for notices forbids it from “undertaking any intervention or activities of a political, military, religious and racial character”.
The U.S Iran envoy, Brian Hook, describes the move as a “propaganda stunt”.
“This is a political nature. This has nothing to do with national security, international peace or promoting stability… It is a propaganda stunt that no-one takes seriously,” he said.
